“Catania are gambling with their last chance to stay in Serie A, so I am sure we’ll face a team that is determined, tough, combative and difficult to beat,” warned the Hellas Coach.

“We have only one result that will suit us: victory.”

Juan Iturbe has shaken off a right ankle injury to be part of the squad, though Romulo, Massimo Donati and Raphael Martinho miss out.

There is a massive fight for Europa League spots, as Parma, Milan, Torino, Lazio and Verona are all within a two-point radius.

“We are up there, but have to take it one game at a time without making any more calculations. We must ignore the other teams until we’ve got our own result.

“We had that mentality against Atalanta last week and it worked, as we came away with three points.”

Verona squad for Catania: Rafael, Nicolas; Cacciatore, Moras, Marques, Pillud, Agostini, Albertazzi, Gonzalez, Maietta; Donadel, Marquinho, Cirigliano, Hallfredsson, Donsah, Sala; Cacia, Toni, Iturbe, Jankovic, Rabusic, Gomez Taleb
