“We have already forgotten the game with Sampdoria, a defeat that on paper is heavier than what we saw on the field,” he insisted of the 4-1 result.
“It hurts to be in this situation, for the players and above all for me. The speculation over who could potentially replace me is part of the game and I accept that, but I have to focus only on the next game.
“Fiorentina are among the best out there. We are missing many players, including Giampaolo Pazzini and Emil Hallfredsson, but I am not looking for excuses. We must all do more.”
Hellas are the only side in Serie A still without a victory this season and the injury crisis is just getting worse.
Pazzini and Hallfredsson are ruled out of tomorrow night’s game, joining an extensive list of absentees that includes Luca Toni, Federico Viviani, Claudio Winck, Romulo, Michelangelo Albertazzi and Mohamed Fares.
