“Giampiero Ventura has many individual talents and wants to play all of them simultaneously,” Mandorlini told Radio CRC.

“Insigne, Andrea Belotti, Ciro Immobile and Antonio Candreva are all quality players and they need a consistent style of play. Israel are not Spain and the approach has to be different tonight.

“When players go on international duty, they work with other Coaches and have to settle into other situations.

“Insigne is perhaps limited by the 4-2-4, but Ventura believes in him and will play him even in a system that penalises him.”
