Italy coach Roberto Mancini had his say on the future of Brescia talents Sandro Tonali and Mario Balotelli. ‘What can I say about Mario?’

Tonali is widely expected to leave Brescia this summer, with Inter, Juventus, Milan and several Premier League clubs all interested.

“If he was to join a club that plays in Europe, he would gain more experience and improve in so many aspects,” Mancini told Rai Sport.

Tonali is widely expected to leave Brescia this summer, with Inter, Juventus, Milan and several Premier League clubs all interested.

“If he was to join a club that plays in Europe, he would gain more experience and improve in so many aspects,” Mancini told Rai Sport.

“Tonali can play in front of the defence in a three-man midfield, but also in a more central role. He attacks, shoots and can score goals. He’s capable of doing more or less anything.”

Meanwhile, it’s increasingly unlikely we will see Balotelli playing again for Brescia or Italy after another breakdown in his rapport with the club.

“What can I say about Mario?” shrugged Mancini wearily.

“I just hope he returns to training.”

Balotelli has been in and out of training over the last few days, with President Massimo Cellino complaining the forward is “no longer with us mentally” and has already clocked out.
