Roberto Mancini admits “there is no hope” of Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure joining Inter.

The Ivorian has been linked with the Nerazzurri for the past two summers, having worked with Mancio during his time in England.

However, following today’s friendly defeat to CSKA Sofia, the tactician all-but ruled-out a move for Toure.

“I can say that he’s still one of the best midfielders in the world,” Mancini told Sky after the match.

However, following today’s friendly defeat to CSKA Sofia, the tactician all-but ruled-out a move for Toure.

“I can say that he’s still one of the best midfielders in the world,” Mancini told Sky after the match.

“But now I think there’s no hope of seeing him with us.

“We saw [CEO Michael] Bolingbroke today, but we didn’t talk about the transfer market, we’re focused on other things.

“What is the main focus? I don’t know, we’ll decide what moves to make.”

Mancini also have his opinion on the defeat this evening.

“Apart from the heaviness of the physical work, these games are also affected by the fact we have so many lads and that we can stand to lose.

“When you do such heavy training sessions, it’s true that you can also pay for it in these kind of games. I’d also say we should have done more though.

“Those who played in the first half did well, less so in the second.

“Caner Erkin? He’s not ready yet, I just put him in to get him started.”
