Roberto Mancini has announced his 29-man squad for Italy’s upcoming Nations League clashes against England and Hungary, sticking mostly to familiar faces.

The Azzurri will not be taking part in the upcoming World Cup in Qatar, so their upcoming two Nations League games are slightly more relevant than those taking part in the tournament. Whilst other nations are warming up for Qatar, Italy are preparing for a new path ahead of their next major tournament, Euro 2024.

Mancini did not take any major risks with his call-ups, with 26 of the 29 having experience with the Azzurri first team. The only three new faces are Lazio’s Ivan Provedel, Empoli’s Guglielmo Vicario and Salernitana’s Pasquale Mazzocchi.

Many expected to see some new blood tested in the Nations League games, like Udinese‘s Destiny Udogie or Juventus’ Fabio Miretti, but neither were given the nod.

  1. Calabria was the worst player in the game against Germany. He allowed a lot of space to the opponent to run and create so many chances. He is not European level at all.

  2. When everybody is fit it should be
    Grifo chiesa berrela

    Berradi
    Pellegrini chritante or fratessi

    De siglio. Mancini
    Bunochi and Angelo ogbonna

    Donnaruma ,

  3. HE HAS NOT CALLED SPINAZZOLA!!!!!! IS HE NUTS. SPINA ON ONE LEG IS BETTER THAN PALMIERI. DISHEARTENING.

  4. I’ve mixed feelings with the squad Mancio has selected, I’d like to have seen; Zaniolo and Frattesi amongst others. But, it isn’t too bad if it’s a 4-3-3 of Donnarumma, Di Marco, Bastoni, Bonucci, Di Lorenzo, Tonali, Barella, Pellegrini, Raspadori, Scamacca, Politano.

  5. Calabria has really dropped off… a mistake-prone player.. too bad cause I really liked his play a year or two back..

    Ciro os back!! bahhaaaa!!
