Multiple Italian sources claim that Saudi Arabia will sack former Italy national team coach Roberto Mancini.

Italy EURO 2020 winner Mancini is expected to be relieved of his duties as Saudi Arabia’s national team coach.

Italian sports papers, including La Gazzetta dello Sport, claim the Saudi Federation has already made the decision, which will become effective once the King of Saudi Arabia approves it.

Mancini suddenly resigned as Italy’s national team coach in the summer of 2023 and was appointed by Saudi Arabia only a few weeks later.

However, he’s only won seven games from 18, drawing five and losing six.

Mancini argued with fans in the stands after a 0-0 draw against Bahrain last week, reportedly irritating the federation.

According to Gazzetta, the Saudi FA has already contacted two possible replacements for the Italian tactician: Ramon Diaz and Hervé Renard.

Saudi Arabia are in the same World Cup qualifying Group as Australia and Japan but have only won one game from four, drawing twice and losing once.

According to Gazzetta, the Saudi FA will confirm Mancini’s sacking today or tomorrow.
