The Azzurri visit Germany in the fourth Nations League match tonight. It kicks off at 19.45 UK time in Monchengladbach. The Azzurri are the current table leaders with five points, while their opponents picked up three draws from their opening three matches.

Juventus midfielder Manuel Locatelli was tipped to start the match, but according to Sky Sport Italia, Frattesi will feature in the Azzurri’s midfield along with Nicolò Barella and Cristante.

The Inter star rested against England on Saturday night, while Cristante is favourite over 21-year-old Esposito, who made his senior debut against the Three Lions this past weekend.

Alessandro Bastoni will start in central defence and will likely partner with Gianluca Mancini, although Lazio‘s Luiz Felipe remains an option for the starting spot at centre-back. Wilfried Gnonto, Matteo Politano and Giacomo Raspadori will get the nod in attack.

  1. Luiz Felipe …

It’s one thing if these oriundi are exceptional players, another if they are Joao Pedro or Luiz Felipe. Inviting Jorginho to play for Italy was acceptable at the time, but these average players are not imo.

  2. Like the choices, Agree with you Milan Fan Luiz Felipe is not really needed at all, go forward with Bastoni Gatti Mancini Scalvini then others like Viti Casale Okoli maybe Romagnoli if he gets a move and plays, And Tonali Over Jorginho any day

  3. When everyone is available: 4 – 3 – 1 – 2

Donnarumma – Di Lorenzo, Mancini, Bastoni, Spinazzola – Barella, Tonali, Verratti – Pelligrini – Chiesa, Zaniolo

Subs: Calabria, DiMarco, Gatti, Locatelli, Pessina, Rovella, Frattesi, Scamacca, Raspodori, Gnontom, Politano
