Roberto Mancini has advised Everton striker Moise Kean to “find a club that lets him always play” if he wants to make Italy’s Euro 2020 squad.

Italy have been seeded for the European Championship this summer but could yet be drawn with holders Portugal, who are in Pot 3 after they failed to win their qualifying group.

“Portugal in Pot 3 is illogical,” Mancini told Rai Sport.

“They’re among the best in Europe and the defending champions… but the draw is based on the groups and six are seeded, so some teams therefore had to go in Pot 2 or 3.”

Kean was dropped by the CT in September for tardiness and has played just four times for Everton since a big-money transfer from Juventus over the summer.

However, the 19-year-old starred for the Under-21s last night, scoring twice in a 6-0 thrashing of Armenia, so could he regain his place with the seniors?

“I hope he can find a club that lets him always play: if so, he’s one of the players who can come to Euro 2020, but it depends on what he does from now until May.”

Finally, the former Inter boss was asked about the resignation of Lega Serie A chief Gaetano Micciche.

“When I arrived, the federation was being run by a commissionership and we never had any problems.

“I don’t think we’ll have any now.”
