Roberto Mancini believes Stevan Jovetic will be ‘important’ for Inter, and discusses the defeat to Real Madrid.

The Manchester City forward is in Milan to finalise his move to the Nerazzurri, with the club investing a total of around €15m in the player.

“He’s a different kind of forward to [Mauro] Icardi and [Rodrigo] Palacio,” Mancini said in his post-match Press conference after the Real Madrid game.

“He’s a different kind of forward to [Mauro] Icardi and [Rodrigo] Palacio,” Mancini said in his post-match Press conference after the Real Madrid game.

“He’ll be an important player for us.”

Mancini then turned his attention to the 3-0 defeat to Madrid, and insists he’s not worried by his team’s failure to score in three friendlies so far.

“Putting the result aside – which of course I’m not happy with – I’m still pleased with the first half performance.

“We were playing one of the best teams in the world. It’s obvious the results haven’t been positive, but at this stage the main thing is the performances and we’ve improved as a team in every game.

“The lack of goals? I’m not worried. I’m sure Inter will be there when it counts. I’m confident for our future and for the League. We have a team which can fight for the title.”
