Mancini: ‘Italy must have the strength to react’

Italy boss Roberto Mancini insists the Azzurri must have the strength to react and get more significant victories than the ones they already obtained.

The Azzurri CT spoke to the media during an event in Milan. Inevitably, he faced a few questions regarding Italy’s elimination from the World Cup play-offs.

“Sport is made of victories and defeats. Sometimes there are incredible victories, like ours’ at the Euros,” he said as quoted by Sportmediaset.

“We are still the defending champions and we’ll be so for the next two years. That’s important. Sometimes you must face difficult situations, like in football.

“We must have the strength to react. Great emotions can emerge and lead to even bigger victories than the ones we obtained.”
