Roberto Mancini assured Inter “believe” in Geoffrey Kondogbia after his winning Trofeo Berlusconi goal against Milan.
The midfielder was dropped for Sunday’s Derby d’Italia with Juventus, but returned to the line-up and was decisive in this evening’s friendly.
“We didn’t snub the derby with our line-up, as some of our players needed to rest and those who did feature had a good attitude,” Mancini told Mediaset Premium.

“Kondogbia is improving and it can happen to be on the bench sometimes, that doesn’t mean anything will happen.
“We believe in him, he did good things today other than the goal.”
Inter had also won the Serie A derby against Milan 1-0 a few weeks ago.
“I told Sinisa (Mihajlovic) that I’d have been happy if he’d won,” smiled Mancini.
The Trofeo Berlusconi had a ‘curse’ attached to it, for a while the losing side went on to win the Scudetto.
