“You can't be satisfied when you lose, especially after you equalised twice,” Mancini considered to Sky Sport Italia.
“You can draw satisfaction from other things, because there are some positive sides even in defeat, like the personality of the players, the will to improve. This is at the base of everything.
“After 15 days I'm beginning to know the players, I've got my ideas about them.
“One week from now I'll speak with the club, doing so after a loss isn't positive – you've got to think about revising your mistakes calmly.
“You can consider what you need after a victory, management are available.
“Now let's just focus on making as many points as possible – besides, it's hard to find good players in January.”
As for President Erick Thohir, Mancini said: “I will talk with him today, there is no problem.
“He already sent me a message yesterday night. He'll want to talk, a President can do that.”
Mancini's system is substantially different from that of his predecessor, Walter Mazzarri, but the new Coach minimised the differences:
“Obviously it's going to take time, you can come across difficulties. But it's all about the will of the players, and we've got that.
“Besides, in the national team they also play with a four-man defence, so I'm optimistic. But winning is not just about the system.”
