Contrary to expectations at the beginning of the season, the Nerazzurri stand as the solitary leaders of Serie A after 16 weeks, with a four point advantage over second-placed Napoli.

“It's nice to be first at this point of the season,” Mancini told the Inter sponsors in a dinner with them. “But what matters is being at the top at the end of the championship.”
