“Chievo have never been an easy game and I don’t remember any big victories there. If you win there, you have to fight to the last second,” the Coach told reporters at his Press conference.

“Chievo have never been an easy game and I don’t remember any big victories there. If you win there, you have to fight to the last second,” the Coach told reporters at his Press conference.
“They got off to an excellent start this season and will be tough. The derby is in the past now, we are focused on Chievo.”
Director general Marco Fassone was dismissed on Friday in a surprise move, so Mancini was asked about the turnaround.
“I just wanted to thank him for his support. I wish Marco the best for the future. I don’t know what happened. I hope Marco can find a solution for his future, while our project continues. My job is to focus on the field.
“It would be important to keep winning, as it’d help us work with more calm. Games against Chievo are never easy and they’re even tougher this season because they have started so well.
“Our focus has to be on the next game. It’s the first time this season we’ve played so early, which is another issue we have to contend with.
“I prefer to have the ‘problem’ of many players to choose from. We’ve got talented players who know all the various systems, so it’s not an issue.
“I still have a few doubts, so we’ll see if we can recover Joao Miranda and Jeison Murillo. Andrea Ranocchia? He’s a possibility.
“Brazil are only interested in their own matters, so they ought to call us first and ask how he is before calling him up.”
Inter are the only side with a 100 per cent record after three games, but Mancini says it’s too early to work out title favourites.
“I think it takes at least 10 rounds for the teams to settle. I believe regardless that the sides who are challenging for the Scudetto will all be pretty close together.”
Ivan Perisic was a wide attacker at Wolfsburg, but made his Inter debut as a trequartista behind the strikers.
“I didn’t want to change the system, as many of the players had only just arrived. Perisic can play as a winger, but is an intelligent player who can also be a trequartista. It involves different mechanisms, but he did well against Milan in that role.”
Mancini was asked whether he’d adopt a system with Gary Medel in front of the defence, moving Geoffrey Kondogbia into a more advanced role, as he did with Yaya Toure at Manchester City.
“Geoffrey is still young. With more experience he might be able to be more advanced in a Yaya Toure style role and could be devastating in that position. In my view he just needs time to improve.”
