The ex-Parma striker is now a free agent after terminating his contract by mutual consent due to six months of unpaid wages.

It’s reported FantAntonio has his heart set on a return to Inter, the club he always supported and left in a row with ex-Coach Walter Mazzarri.

“Cassano? We haven’t discussed the situation yet, as we are currently concentrated on other roles,” said Mancio in a Press conference.

“The most important thing is to find that profile capable of helping the team. Even young prospective talents are fine.

“We also need to run a few risks with some expenditure to hope the player can be precious after a few months.

“Above all we must intervene in the areas of the squad that need it the most.”

Inter are in advanced negotiations with Gremio for defender Rhodolfo.

“I have been tracking the Brazilian for a long time. Before buying a striker, we need to do something in other areas of the team.”

Teenage forward Federico Bonazzoli is reportedly on the verge of a move to Sampdoria.

“He hasn’t left yet and is still with us. At times we need to find transfer strategies that fit the Financial Fair Play parameters. I repeat, Bonazzoli is still here with us.

“We don’t have many centre-backs or midfielders, so we need to bring someone in for those positions. The squad must be complete and we are light in those areas, not in attack.”
