Mancini: ‘Can’t go at the same speed for 90 minutes’

Gianluca Mancini said it’s impossible to ‘always go at the same speed for 90 minutes’ after Roma’s 2-2 draw against Inter.

The defender scored the equaliser in the second half.

“Roma have this label that we struggle in the second half, but I see many teams fall away, especially when we play every three days. The important thing is that we stepped up the pace again at the end to get the point,” Mancini told DAZN.

“All teams can lower the tempo during a match, we can’t always go at the same speed for 90 minutes, as you could also argue Inter didn’t play with much intensity in the first half.”
