Italy CT Roberto Mancini says there is only one thing that makes Federico Chiesa and his father Enrico similar and suggests Mattia Zaccagni and Matteo Lovato should join a top team ‘when the right moment comes.’
Chiesa, who joined Juventus from Fiorentina for €60m last summer scored a brace in the Old Lady’s 3-1 win over Milan on Wednesday, but Mancini believes the Bianconeri winger can’t be compared with his father Enrico, a former Fiorentina, Parma and Sampdoria star.

“Enrico and his son are very different. Enrico arrived at Samp when he was very young, I remember he went out on loan at Modena after his first season at the club and he started scoring goals.
“When he returned, he was more complete, everyone wanted to sign him. He is a very nice person too.
“Physically, Federico is different from his father, technically they are only similar for the last touch before a shot on target.
“Enrico was a striker, Federico is a winger, he runs more than his father. Juventus is an important step for him. The club will help him improve, also on a personal level.
WHe is doing very well with the National team, we have some interesting young footballers such as [Mattia] Zaccagni and [Matteo] Lovato.
“It would be important for them to join a top club when the right moment comes. Now it’s Hellas Verona who must enjoy two players they have invested in.”
