Roberto Mancini is set to bring up to 10 Azzurri collaborators with him to join his setup with the Saudi Arabian national team.
The 58-year-old coach unexpectedly resigned from his post with the Italian national team earlier this month, ending a five-year spell in charge, and he’s now expected to accept a lucrative multi-year offer from the Saudi FA.
Mancini is expected to officially join the Saudi national team in the coming weeks and he’s already started drawing up his list of staff, keen to continue working with various members from his Azzurri setup.
Pages two and three of today’s Gazzetta dello Sport detail how Mancini may end up bringing as many as 10 people from the Italian national team staff to join him in Saudi Arabia.

- Fausto Salsano – technical coach
- Attilio Lombardo – personal assistant
- Antonio Gagliardi – match analyst
- Massimo Battara – goalkeeper coach
- Andrea Scanavino – athletic trainer
- Claudio Donatelli – athletic trainer
- Giulio Nuciari – scout
- Mauro Sandreani – scout
The 10th member of Mancini’s staff could be Lele Oriali, who has been working as Italy’s team manager.

Many others would have done the same thing. There was a feud, albeit silent, between the FA President and Mancio. He sort and found an opportunity to leave for a more lucrative deal, and he has done so!
