Italian international Mario Balotelli deserves “a kick on the a***” for smoking, says Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini.

The striker was pictured with his girlfriend, television starlet Raffaella Fico, puffing on a cigarette this week.

“Yeah, I know he smokes. For me it's not OK but I'm not his father or his mother,” Mancini told The Sun.

“If he was my son I would give him a kick on the a*** but he is not my son! I told him that it is better if you don't smoke. I am always against cigarettes and, for that reason, my son doesn't smoke.

“There are players who smoke in Italy and also here. I don't think he smokes a lot, maybe five or six a day. But I’ve told him.”

SuperMario has got into trouble numerous times for his off the field antics, including accidentally setting fire to his house when his friends lit fireworks in the bathroom and notching up a series of tickets for driving offences.
