Manchester City assistant Angelo Gregucci confirmed their interest in Edinson Cavani and could not guarantee Roberto Mancini will remain. “We’ll see.”
The member of Mancini’s staff at Eastlands talked to Radio Crc in Italy and raised some doubts over whether the manager would still be there for 2013-14.
“Mancini’s future? I don’t know. Mancini is tied to a contract, but we’ll see at the end of the season.”
Gregucci also commented on the reports linking Manchester City with a €70m offer for Napoli hitman Cavani.
“Cavani is an important player and clubs that have ambitions to be great must look at important players.
“I don’t think Mancini has an exclusive on Cavani. He simply expressed his appreciation.”
