Manchester United reportedly want Juventus to pay circa €12m to have Anthony Martial on loan for five months, conditions the Bianconeri find absolutely unacceptable.

Juve general manager Maurizio Arrivabene said yesterday ahead of their 4-1 Coppa Italia win over Udinese that they were interested in Martial, but “not at those figures.”

It had already been suggested that Manchester United wanted Juve to pay Martial’s full salary for the five months, plus a fee for the loan.

According to Sport Mediaset, the precise cost of the loan fee requested was €6m, which is simply extraordinary for a player who will be at the club for barely five months.

That is on top of the salary, which for five months would be at least €6m, meaning that Martial would cost €12m to spent just a few months in Turin.

Newcastle United are also known to be interested in the Martial loan, but they too have baulked at these conditions set by the Old Trafford side.

  1. That’s a bonkers amount of money for 5 months. What are they smoking? Nobody is gonna pay that so Man U will have to pay half that for him to ride their bench…

  2. They want to scare away potential buyers and renew him. For a player with such poor stats we better stick with Kean. Not an option at all.

  3. Who makes up this garbage lol. Hard to believe people swallow this nonsense.

If United paid 12m to take him, I still wouldn’t. Leave that waster where he is.
