Manchester United hit snag in chase of Rabiot

Manchester United’s talks for Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot are reportedly starting to stall, leaving the deal at risk of collapse.

The Red Devils are desperately looking to inject some life into their midfield following an incredibly unconvincing start to the Premier League season. Juventus froze Rabiot out of their squad this summer, keen to re-home him a year ahead of his contract expiry, and they’ve already agreed the terms of a deal with Manchester United.

As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, Manchester United’s work to sign Rabiot is starting to slow as the two parties still cannot reach an agreement regarding his salary. The Frenchman has high demands, possibly around €8-10m net per season, which the Red Devils are refusing to meet.

Rabiot is also unconvinced about the move due to the fact that the team aren’t competing in the Champions League.

The stalling of this deal means Juventus are unlikely to make a move for Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Leandro Paredes for the time being.
