Manchester United figures for Onana not far off Inter valuation

While Inter admit ‘an offer has not come in yet’ from Manchester United for Andre Onana, Sportitalia report it will be not too far off the asking price, but still not enough for a deal.

Speaking to Sky Sport Italia at a gala event to mark the opening of the transfer window on July 1, Nerazzurri director Beppe Marotta confirmed “an offer has not come in yet” from Manchester United for Onana.

However, Sportitalia report they are expecting the first proposal to come in tomorrow and it will be circa €45-48m plus €6m in add-ons.

That would be too low for Inter to accept, but it is also not that far off the asking price, which is expected to be €50m guaranteed and another €10m in bonuses that are easy to activate.

It is not a huge margin, so negotiations could progress fairly quickly once Manchester United make the first offer.

The Nerazzurri are prepared to sell for €60m in total because it would all be profit, as he was signed only a year ago as a free agent from Ajax.
