Manchester United fans are venting their frustration and regret on social media after yet another defeat, wondering why Antonio Conte was not brought in for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
United suffered another heavy loss, this time 2-0 at home to Manchester City in the local derby, although the result does not reflect the extent of the domination at Old Trafford.
Following on from a scraped 2-2 draw with Atalanta in the Champions League, it puts further pressure on Solskjaer.
The Manchester United fans are increasingly irritated with their board for not pulling the plug on Solskjaer earlier, especially after reports this morning in the Daily Star that Conte waited until the last minute before accepting the Tottenham Hotspur job.

“If Ole Gunnar Solskjaer truly had three games to save his job after the Liverpool result, he hasn’t done enough. Incredible that Manchester United have cost themselves Antonio Conte by waiting for further proof of what was obvious to most,” added Sunday Mirror writer David Lynch.
Piers Morgan was astonished by the decision to keep Conte waiting.

The club could end the weekend 10th in the Premier League and their Champions League progress is by no means guaranteed either.
Others have pointed out the irony that Tottenham only went all in for Conte because Nuno Espirito Santo lost 3-0 to Manchester United, the result that postponed Solskjaer’s dismissal.
