It is reported that Manchester United are interested in Victor Osimhen, but have made it clear to Napoli they will not pay the ‘crazy’ €100m price-tag.

The Nigeria international has attracted focus from numerous top tier clubs after a sensational season so far with the Partenopei.

He turns 24 next month and has 10 goals with three assists in 14 games between Serie A and the Champions League.

According to ESPN, Osimhen was mentioned as a possible Manchester United target to replace Cristiano Ronaldo, who terminated his contract by mutual consent this week.

However, they would also not be ready to pay what they consider to be a ‘crazy’ €100m price-tag.

Considering Napoli paid €75m plus bonuses to purchase Osimhen from LOSC in September 2020 and his profile has only risen spectacularly since then, €100m would seem the very minimum they could command.

His contract at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona runs to June 2025 and there is no release clause.

It has been reported that Napoli already rejected a €100m offer from Newcastle United.
