Manchester United have confirmed the return of Cristiano Ronaldo from Juventus.

The Portuguese ace spent three seasons in Turin, scoring 101 goals in 134 appearances in all competitions.

Juventus confirmed the official figures of the deal this morning, confirming that the player has joined the Red Devils on a €15m deal plus €8m in bonuses.

“This operation generates a negative economic impact of approximately € 14.0 million on the 2020/2021 financial year due to the partial write-down of the net book value of the player’s registration rights,” the Bianconeri announced.

Ronaldo underwent his medicals with the Premier League giants yesterday and Manchester United confirmed his return with an official statement that followed the one they had already published this past Friday.

“Manchester United is a club that has always had a special place in my heart, and I have been overwhelmed by all the messages I have received since the announcement on Friday,” said Ronaldo.
“I cannot wait to play at Old Trafford in front of a full stadium and see all the fans again. I’m looking forward to joining up with the team after the international games, and I hope we have a very successful season ahead.”

“Manchester United is delighted to confirm the signing of Cristiano Ronaldo on a two-year contract with the option to extend for a further year, subject to international clearance,” the statement read.

“You run out of words to describe Cristiano. He is not only a marvellous player, but also a great human being,” Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said.

“To have the desire and the ability to play at the top level for such a long period requires a very special person. I have no doubt that he will continue to impress us all and his experience will be so vital for the younger players in the squad. Ronaldo’s return demonstrates the unique appeal of this club and I am absolutely delighted he is coming home to where it all started.”

Juventus have confirmed the signing of Moise Kean on loan with an obligation to buy from Everton.

The Bianconeri could pay up to €38m to sign the player on a permanent deal after selling him to Everton for €30m in 2019.
