Giacomo Raspadori and Tanguy Ndombele had their Napoli medicals today, so they need to make room with Manchester United chasing Chucky Lozano and Everton after Eljif Elmas.

The Partenopei are transforming their squad this summer, with numerous exits and new arrivals for Luciano Spalletti.

They are still in the process of change after the Serie A season has started, because today both Sassuolo striker Raspadori and Tottenham midfielder Ndombele had their medicals at the Villa Stuart clinic in Rome.

According to Sky Sport Italia transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, they need to make room and two of their current players are on the way towards the Premier League.

Manchester United are interested in Mexico international Lozano, a 27-year-old who can play on the right, left or as a support striker.

He has a release clause worth €130m, but will be available for far less, especially as his contract is due to run down in June 2024.

Signed from PSV Eindhoven in 2019 for €45m, Lozano never quite lived up to expectations, although he mainly blamed being pushed out of position to make way for Lorenzo Insigne.

Chucky has 26 goals and 14 assists in 115 competitive games for Napoli.

The other player on the way out is Elmas, a North Macedonia international attacking midfielder who turns 23 next month and has been targeted by Everton. He is under contract until 2025 and was purchased from Fenerbahce in 2019 for €16.2m.
