Manuel Locatelli was approached by Manchester United during the summer transfer window but the Juventus midfielder was quick to say no, reports highlight.

The 24-year-old Italian midfielder has had a difficult season in Turin under Massimiliano Allegri, failing to show his best as the Bianconeri struggle in the early stages of this campaign. He was signed from Sassuolo last year, choosing Juventus over Arsenal, but things haven’t particularly gone to plan.

As reported by Sportmediaset, Manchester United wanted Locatelli in the summer and approached the Juventus midfielder. The 24-year-old had no interest in joining the club and immediately rejected their advances, preferring to try and make things work in Turin.

After Locatelli’s refusal, the Premier League side turned their attention to Adrien Rabiot, who also turned down a move to the North West of England.

The former Sassuolo midfielder is still wanted by Arsenal, who could return for him next summer.
