Kim Min-Jae has been one of the stars of the show in Napoli’s Scudetto charge this season and has reportedly attracted the attention of both Manchester City and Manchester United.

The Partenopei picked up the 26-year-old South Korean defender from Fenerbahce last summer in a deal worth around €18.05m, a fee that immediately looks like a bargain.

Kim has been a rock at the centre of Napoli’s defence this season, seeing over 3456 minutes of action across 40 appearances, quickly becoming one of the best centre backs in Italy.

As detailed by Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com, both Manchester City and Manchester United are interested in picking up Kim in the summer, aware of the accessible release clause in his Napoli contract.

The South Korean defender’s release clause states that he can be bought for around €45-50m by a foreign club in the first two weeks of July, setting clear parameters for interested parties.

Napoli are confident that Kim will stay another year at least, but sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli doesn’t want to be caught empty handed and so has intensified talks with soon-to-be free agent Evan Ndicka.
