Manchester City star Haaland shows off Genoa shirt

New Manchester City signing Erling Braut Haaland gave a shout-out to Serie A and B fans when training during his summer vacation in a Genoa jersey.

The Norwegian sensation turns 22 next month and has just completed a €60m plus add-ons transfer to Manchester City from Borussia Dortmund.

However, with commission for his agent and the various bonuses, the actual cost is believed to be closer to €100m.

Haaland is still on his summer vacation after a ridiculous 27 goals in 29 competitive games during the 2021-22 campaign and is keeping in shape with a personal trainer.

Pictures were published of the striker at the gym wearing a Genoa jersey, something that did not go unacknowledged by the official Genoa social media team.

It’s nice for the Grifone to receive recognition, as they are still smarting after their relegation to Serie B.

The oldest club in Italian football, Genoa CFC were founded in September 1893 and last year were taken over by American investors 777 Partners.
