Manchester City scouts are in the stands for Bologna’s match against Roma this evening, reportedly to track Arsenal target Matthias Svanberg.

According to transfer pundit Nicolò Schira, a representative of Pep Guardiola’s club is at the Stadio Dall’Ara for this Serie A fixture.

His target is believed to be Svanberg, the Swedish midfielder who turns 23 next month.

He already has 15 senior caps for Sweden, in which he scored one goal.

The player is on the Premier League transfer radar thanks to interest from Arsenal in recent weeks.

Svanberg has been at Bologna since the summer of 2018, when he left Malmö in a deal worth €4.5m.

So far this season, the midfielder has played 15 official games for Bologna between Serie A and the Coppa Italia, contributing two goals and an assist.

His contract with the Rossoblu only runs to June 2023, so the asking price would be in the region of €15m.
