Il Corriere dello Sport claims the man who wore a shirt with the writing ‘Hitlerson’ printed on the back and the No.88 has been identified as a Lazio fan from Germany.

The picture of a man wearing the shameful shirt has gone viral on social media after Sunday’s Derby della Capitale between Lazio and Roma.

According to Il Corriere dello Sport, the man has been identified thanks to CCTV cameras at the Stadio Olimpico. He is a Lazio fan from Germany who was known to the Police because of a previous incident during another Derby della Capitale, dating back to more than ten years ago.

It was the year 2009 when the man was sued following a pitch invasion at the Stadio Olimpico during a Serie A game between Roma and Lazio.

Two more fans from Romania who made a Nazi salute during Sunday’s derby have reportedly been identified by Police and were punished with DASPO, meaning they have been banned from Italian stadiums, although the suspension is not believed to be permanent.

Lazio released an official club statement on Tuesday, condemninf the anti-semitic incidents occurred during the derby last weekend.
