Man Utd see Perisic as Sancho alternative

Manchester United are again interested in Inter outcast Ivan Perisic as a cheaper alternative to Jadon Sancho, claim reports in England.

The Old Trafford side had repeatedly targeted Perisic when Jose Mourinho was in charge, but could not agree terms with the club.

Instead, the Croatian went to Bayern Munich on loan, helping them win the Treble including the Champions League, but the Germans did not activate their option to buy.

Now The Telegraph newspaper claims Manchester United are struggling to get Sancho from Borussia Dortmund and are looking at other options, including Perisic.

The 31-year-old is not part of Antonio Conte’s plans and his price-tag is in the region of €20m.

That would be considerably cheaper than Sancho, who would cost over €100m.

Perisic made 35 appearances for Bayern Munich last season, scoring eight goals and creating another 10.
