Manchester United sent scouts to the Juventus Stadium this evening to view Roma defender Kostas Manolas, it’s reported.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, there were representatives of the Premier League outfit in the stands for Juve’s 1-0 victory.

They were keeping a close eye on Manolas, who still has a release clause worth €36m in his Roma contract.

Even after Jose Mourinho’s dismissal, Manchester United still want to bring in defensive reinforcements in January and are looking to Serie A.

With Napoli rejecting £90m for Kalidou Koulibaly, the alternatives are Manolas and Fiorentina centre-back Nikola Milenkovic.
