Manchester United are reportedly interested in Italian talent Pietro Pellegri, who has struggled with injuries at Monaco.

According to Sky Sport Italia transfer guru Gianluca Di Marzio, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has set his sights on Pellegri for the future at Old Trafford.

He only recently turned 19, but caused a sensation when he scored three Serie A goals for Genoa at the age of 16, including a brace against Roma.

The forward even made his Serie A debut at the age of 15 years and 280 days.

Pellegri made the move to Monaco for €21m plus bonuses in January 2018.

However, he managed only six competitive appearances for the club and one goal, then missed the entirety of this season with a serious tear of the thigh muscle.

He has also been linked with a return to Serie A for Roma or Hellas Verona.
