Manchester United are ready to do another big money deal with Atalanta, reportedly offering €45m for defender Cristian Romero.

The two clubs have worked together recently, the Premier League giants paying €21m plus up to €20m in performance-related bonuses for teenage forward Amad Diallo.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Manchester United are now targeting another young Atalanta player, centre-back Romero.

He just turned 23 and is set for his senior Argentina international debut this week.

Atalanta only took Romero from Juventus for €18m last summer and he made a strong impression, not just in defence, adding three goals and five assists in his 42 competitive appearances.

A massive profit like this would allow La Dea to keep hold of other more key players such as Robin Gosens.
