Manchester United have reportedly reached an agreement on personal terms with Morocco international Sofyan Amrabat according to Monday’s claims from Monday’s print edition of La Nazione.

Importantly, however, there has not yet been an agreement between United and Amrabat’s current employers Fiorentina

Amrabat, who announced himself on the global stage during Morocco’s impressive run to the semi-final of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, is fondly admired by those in Manchester, especially by the coach Erik ten Hag.

Ten Hag and Amrabat have already developed a sound working relationship from their time spent together with Dutch side Utrecht, with the coach handing the current Fiorentina player his professional debut in 2017.

The former Ajax boss is said to be keen on a reunion with Amrabat, who is valued at around €30m by Fiorentina. The Tuscan club will not sell for anything less than that figure, given that there has been continued interest in the player since the end of the World Cup in December.

Atletico Madrid are one of the sides who are particularly keen on snapping up Amrabat, as previously have been Barcelona.
