Negotiations are reportedly progressing rapidly between Fiorentina, Dusan Vlahovic and Manchester City, leaving Tottenham and Atletico Madrid behind.

Their interest only emerged this afternoon from Sara Meini, a TGR RAI Toscana reporter who is always close to Viola stories.

She is now suggesting that the talks are moving quickly, with the Serbian striker already in direct contact with Manchester City to discuss personal terms.

Man City fight Atletico Madrid and Tottenham for Vlahovic

Fiorentina made a big proposal to extend his current contract, but his agents are asking for huge commissions as well as guarantees on their role in selling the striker next summer.

Considering that Tottenham Hotspur and Atletico Madrid offered over €70m, it seems as if Manchester City have left both behind with close to €80m.

Pep Guardiola’s team is in dire need of a centre-forward and their first choice had been Harry Kane, with Vlahovic set to be the Tottenham replacement for the England man.

However, City are instead now going directly for 21-year-old Serbia international Vlahovic, who would cost approximately half as much as injury-prone Kane.

  1. This sounds to me like a ploy from the people at City and their cronies in the media. All of a sudden Vlahovhic is now a target for them, knowing full well that Spurs were said to be close to agreeing his signature. Is this tit for tat by the club from Manchester?
