Manchester City fully intend to sign Kalidou Koulibaly this summer and will raise their €65m offer to get closer to Napoli’s €80m asking price, claim Sportitalia.
Transfer expert Alfredo Pedullà, who works for both Sportitalia and La Gazzetta dello Sport, is confident City will step up their bid for Koulibaly once the Champions League is over.
Negotiations are continuing behind the scenes and they hope that the pressure can be turned on Napoli the more the summer progresses.

The Corriere della Sera newspaper also note Koulibaly is heading for the exit, because the Partenopei already have a deal with Lille for Brazilian defender Gabriel, who is also of interest to Everton.
Until Koulibaly and Arkadiusz Milik are sold, Napoli will struggle to make any more signings, having splashed out €50m plus four minor players and a series of bonuses on Lille striker Victor Osimhen.
So far, Manchester City have not gone beyond €65m in their proposal for Koulibaly, but if they can get near €75m, a deal can be done.
