The bidding war for Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic just got bigger, as it’s reported Manchester City have entered the race with Atletico Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur.

According to TGR RAI Toscana reporter Sara Meini, who is very close to Viola affairs, Manchester City have now dived in with a proposal.

They are finding Spurs reticent to discuss Harry Kane, even at €150m, so are turning towards Vlahovic instead.

The 21-year-old Serbia international scored 21 Serie A goals last season and Fiorentina are trying to lock him down to a new contract, but his agents are asking for huge commissions and priorities to sell him next summer.

It’s increasingly likely that Vlahovic will be sold this month instead, with Atletico Madrid reportedly reaching €70m plus bonuses.

Tottenham had targeted Vlahovic as the replacement for Kane should he go to Manchester City, but it seems as if Pep Guardiola has decided to go straight for the younger and cheaper forward instead.

  1. Yeah but Fiorentina spoke-out against the Super League as not being good for Serie A, but yet they sell they’re players to foreign leagues, hurting Serie A.

  2. vlahovic is by far the strongest striker in the world whoever takes him at 100-120 makes an incredible deal we viola fans have had batistuta and not even he at 21 was so strong!
