According to the Daily Mail, they are even ready to offer a contract worth a record-breaking £13.3m per season.
That figure would include incentives and commercial bonuses, in total netting the Uruguayan £256,000 per week – more than Carlos Tevez.
These are sums Napoli simply cannot compete with, but Manchester City must stave off Real Madrid, who it’s widely reported are Cavani’s favoured destination.
The Partenopei are holding firm on his buy-out clause, which is thought to be worth €60m – £52m.
