Atalanta star Ruslan Malinovskyi shared the video of his stunning goal against Juventus on Twitter, trolling expected goals stats: ‘Just do it.’
The Ukraine international broke the deadlock in the second half of Atalanta’s home clash against Juventus last night.
It was a rocket from outside the box, which was simply unstoppable for Juventus goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny. It was probably one of the season’s best goals in Serie A and Malinovskyi shared it on his official Twitter account, tagging ‘The xG Philosophy’ a Twitter account that calculates expected goals.
“Just do it,” wrote Malinovskyi, who received an ironic and quick reply. His tweet was shared by The xG Philosophy that wrote: “0.02(xG).”
Malinovskyi’s goal was not enough for La Dea to collect all three points as a late Danilo goal from a corner kick helped Juventus take a point home.
