Racing Genk midfielder Ruslan Malinovskyi has accused the club of ‘betrayal’ after they priced him out of a move to Atalanta.
Atalanta have offered €15m for Malinovskyi, but Genk are holding out for €20m, which is too high a fee for the Champions League debutants.
As a result, the Ukrainian believes his loyalty is being discarded by the side he joined from Shakhtar Donetsk in 2017.

“Last summer, Genk asked me to stay and help them win the League title,” he told Het Nieuwsblad.
“They didn’t want me to leave last year, but they promised not to stand in the way of a move this summer.
“During the winter, I had the chance to join Roma but I refused because I wanted to stay and keep the promise I made Genk.
“Now they’re not keeping to their word and I feel betrayed. I’m 26 years old and I want to play at a higher level.
“An offer of €15m is fair, asking for €20m is not.”
