Daniel Maldini looks set to return to Monza on a permanent transfer from parent club Milan, having spent the latter half of the 2023-24 Serie A season out on loan under Raffaele Palladino.

Maldini set for Monza return

Monza are ready to bring Maldini back to replace Andrea Colpani, who is moving closer towards completing a permanent transfer to Fiorentina, according to multiple outlets in Italy, including Sky as well as transfer experts Gianluca Di Marzio and Matteo Moretto.

Moretto goes one further than some of the other reports on Thursday evening, suggesting that a deal between Monza and Milan has already been completed.

Maldini, the son of Milan legend Paolo, impressed during the second half of the 2023-24 campaign, netting four goals from 11 outings in Serie A.

Monza could also bring in another player to cover the gap left by Colpani, as they are also interested in negotiating a new deal with Inter for Argentine teenager Valentin Carboni, who was also on loan at the Stadio Brianteo last term.
