The dynasty began in 1954 with Paolo’s father Cesare who played 347 Serie A games with the Rossoneri and won the first-ever Champions League with an Italian club in 1962, playing the final at Wembley against Benfica.

Paolo, who is currently the club’s Technical Area Director, made his Milan senior debut on January 20, 1985, when he was only 16-years-old.

The former captain played 647 Serie A games with Milan during his career and won 26 trophies, including five Champions Leagues. His No 3 shirt has been retired by the club.

His son Daniel is a product of Milan academy, just like him, while Cesare came through the youth sector of Triestina where he played for two seasons before joining the Diavoli.

Daniel, 19, made his sixth Serie A appearance against Juventus on Wednesday, helping the Maldinis’ Serie A match total reach 1,000.
