Milan director Paolo Maldini said reporters were ‘a little off base’ talking about Tiemoue Bakayoko and Florentino Luis.
The club legend met with Florentino’s agent this evening, after reports negotiations with Chelsea for Bakayoko had stalled due to the €32m asking price.
It is believed the Rossoneri are turning to 21-year-old Benfica talent Florentino instead, who has been linked with Fulham.
“Bakayoko and Florentino? You are a little off base, but we’ll see,” Maldini told Sportitalia.

“I don’t think we need a new midfielder, as for the moment we are fine as we are. Of course, Bakayoko is a very good player.”
Milan have already snapped up Sandro Tonali from Brescia, on a €10m loan with option to buy for €15m plus another €10m in bonuses.
