A commission voted for this season’s legendary XI and they will be formally inducted in a Florence ceremony on December 13.

A commission voted for this season’s legendary XI and they will be formally inducted in a Florence ceremony on December 13.
They include Maldini (Italian Player), Van Basten (Foreign Player), Trapattoni (Coach), Giampiero Boniperti (Italian Director), Luigi Agnolin and Paolo Casarin (Italian Referees), Dino Zoff (Italian Veteran), Angelo Schiavio, Concetto Lo Bello, Valentino Mazzola and Nereo Rocca (In Memoriam).
Former Milan and Italy defender Maldini won 26 trophies in his career, including seven Scudetti and five Champions League titles.
Current Republic of Ireland manager Trapattoni won 29 trophies as a player and Coach, including 12 League titles in four different countries. He is the only tactician to have won every UEFA competition (excluding the Intertoto Cup).
Those who were inducted to the Hall of Fame in December 2011 were Michel Platini, Roberto Baggio, Marcello Lippi, Arrigo Sacchi, Adriano Galliani, Pierluigi Collina, Gigi Riva, Giuseppe Meazza, Giovanni Ferrari, Silvio Piola, Gaetano Scirea, Artemio Franchi, Ottorino Barassi, Vittorio Pozzo, Enzo Bearzot, Ferruccio Valcareggi, Fulvio Bernardini and Giovanni Mauro.
