Kevin Malcuit is undergoing a medical this morning ahead of completing a transfer to Napoli.

The 27-year-old will arrive from French club Lille, finally ending the Partenopei’s lengthy pursuit of a full-back in this summer’s transfer market.

Santiago Arias, Matteo Darmian and Sime Vrsaljko were all heavily linked with a move to San Paolo over the summer, while the signing of Bordeaux’s Youssouf Sabaly was called off following the results of the Senegal international’s medical.

The 27-year-old will arrive from French club Lille, finally ending the Partenopei’s lengthy pursuit of a full-back in this summer’s transfer market.

Santiago Arias, Matteo Darmian and Sime Vrsaljko were all heavily linked with a move to San Paolo over the summer, while the signing of Bordeaux’s Youssouf Sabaly was called off following the results of the Senegal international’s medical.

But unless there is a repeat of Sabaly’s failed tests, Malcuit will be officially announced as a Partenopei player once he has completed his duties at the club’s Villa Stuart clinic.

The Frenchman has spent the entirety of his career to date in his homeland, also playing for the likes of Monaco and Saint-Etienne.
