The 22-year-old infamously pulled out of an agreement with Roma at the 11th hour to sign for Barca last summer.
However, his dream move ended in disappointment as he started just six League games in 2018-19.
The Brazilian also faced increased competition from Antoine Griezmann and possibly Neymar if he were to return from Paris Saint-Germain.
In turn, Gazzetta dello Sport’s Nicolo Schira believes Malcom’s arrival in Russia will push through Emiliano Rigoni’s proposed switch to Sampdoria.
Schira explains Rigoni will move to the Blucerchiati on a €1m loan with an €11m option to buy, which becomes mandatory after 10 apppearances.
